Woke up early this morning to clear skies and 34 degrees outside. :-( Winter is coming! The sun was just coming out to warm things up so I waited a bit longer and finally started climbing about 9:30.

The climbing trail and Winter traverse are a little sandy in spots but in good shape. The Butte road is clear but dusty if there is car traffic and no wind. The clear skies allowed for the great 360 degree views at the summit! The downhill trail is in great shape. So much so, I did it twice today. Only wildlife I saw today was a snake in the grass since the hunters have probably spooked the 4-legged hill climbers. Come and enjoy the Butte before the snow flies soon!
