Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park
Info
A fun trail system, also known as Stottlemeyer, with good single track and fun obstacles. Uphill and light downhill with lots ofl single track linked with small logging roads (only open to non-motorized use). No really big elevation anywhere but enough to make it interesting. Trails lead all the way to Port Gamble starting near Poulsbo. A great combination of mostly techy stuff but a fair bit of flow. A little something for everyone.

Derailed is the newest trail at Port Gamble. The 2016 map on this site des show it but it will not be on the trail maps available at the trail heads. Trails were in great shape, not our typical winter riding.
Alders and ClearCut had some standing puddles so avoid those if you can.
Below freezing temps made for nearly perfect trail/traction conditions. The mud was frozen just enought to move like silly putty. At least one downed fir tree just before the descent to The Hood but easy walk over.

The Port Gamble trails are a fantastic network of intermediate trails. While there's no huge payoff at the top, like Tiger Mountain, there are trails in very good condition that cover a lot of area. You will spend some time on logging trails and you may get lost if you're not careful....
