Met Up with THE Terrain Experts

This morning, I began my ride from the trailhead, climbed to the Winter Traverse, and then over to the Butte Road to get to the summit. Just before the parasailing launch site, I met up with some buddies from the Ram family. Luckily the father didn’t charge me. Probably saw my helmet and knew he couldn’t win.  lol  The look they had towards me was almost as if they were thinking, "Damn, I wish I had his bike!".  We shared glances for several minutes and then they headed down their quadruple black diamond goat route where only a drone would survive. They are amazing!

After padding up at the summit, I rode down a hundred yards to the fallen tree to enhance the rock ramp to make it a better feature to jump. Then continued on down the trail passing several attractive folks on their way up. The downhill trail is very dry and could use a good raking about halfway down between 2400’-2800’. It was a memorable ride and the Trailforks ride log and Ram family photos are here.
