Great time to ride - the 6.2 mile logging road from US2 to the trailhead is annoying but definitely worth it.  

The wildflowers are out like fireworks.  The bench at the west end of the alpine meadow is a great place for a picnic and didn't even have to use Deet.  There are a few hungry flys but no skeeters.   

Highly recommend this ride if you are fit and like easy flow like Ollalie and the most incredible views   The F-18 fly by below us was incredible
