Last Higher Summit for 2023?
I arrived at the lower shuttle area this morning and started climbing a bit before 8. The goal was to get to the summit a couple times before tonight's snow started falling in the North Cascades. I got up to the lookout where there was maybe a half inch of groupel but not enough to loose any traction. I descended on Out of the Blue walking a couple of the upper switchbacks due to wet roots and lots of leaves but the trail was in great shape except for one fallen tree across the third trail segment from the bottom. I'll come back later in the week to cut that if it is still there. After the Out of the Blue fun or challenge, I climbed back up to the summit for another run but descending instead on Hoot Owl / Skyline. This was an easier challenge but still a challenge in spots and the off camber roots caught me twice. It was a pretty day and some of the pics were great. Track and pics are here along with the TF ride log.
