Snow, but not a problem, YET.
Started just after 6am at the trailhead during the break between the convergence zone downpour last night and the next wave this afternoon. Started under lights and watched the sunrise through the trees and high clouds. Needed to cut two 6" alders from the double track (more look like they are falling soon)! There was another bigger one after the initial double track traverse needing a bigger saw than I carry, just above 3550' (1/3 mile past the first doubletrack switchback). No snow below 3500' and only shaded dustings until 4000'. Traction was good. The trail was mostly 1" of snow from 4100' to the meadow, and 3" deep on the open meadow traverse. With more snow coming, instability and avalanche hazards will begin soon. If you need a meadow run, do it in the next day or two or wait until Spring! GPS Track and the pictures are here.
