Great ride! Steep climb either direction though. Climbed it the counterclockwise direction due to recommendation from the park ranger. It’s a little more gradual of a climb with more flat sections to rest than riding up the clockwise route. But, the clockwise route is a little smoother. Fewer roots & rocks that way. I rode it on my all-mountain  hardtail, FYI. Amazing scenery & the trail was in great condition for a backcountry route. The top was a bit wet & slick on the westernmost side due to recent rain. Otherwise, trail conditions were great. Worth the trip!
