With the huge clear cut in the middle, it’s true that much of the old standard is gone. However, some great forest singletrack remains, especially around the perimeter. Many of these trails aren’t getting too much use lately, and are taking on a more primitive petina (which is actually pretty rad).

Another thing going for Tolt is that I didn’t see another person out there anywhere the whole time of was there.

Plenty of berries to snack on, and foxglove is blooming.

There’s a lot of potential in the clear cut; some great trails are waiting to be cut anew or resurrected from the wreckage.  This would be an awesome project for fall.
