Some trees down but passable
Rode all the way to Harris Lake. The snow's almost completely gone; there were 2 patches that were too soft to ride but they should be gone in a few days. That leaves about 10 trees in the trail that you'll have to get off your bike for.
If you're riding this, please consider bringing a small folding hand saw (I'm kicking myself that I didn't) and take out a few of those trees. You don't have to do them all; if a few people do 1 or 2 each, they'll all be taken care of soon. Only one of the trees down is big enough to be a lot of work with a folding saw.
In some places the trail tread shows substantial damage from water runoff; most of the time you can ride through if you're skilled. The last (switchbacking) part of the climb to the lake is still a pain.. but when you hit it, you know you're almost there.
Some some animal scat that almost looked too big to be bear poo (!), but must be. Might be a good place to wear a bear bell given how few people come through per day.
