After doing the Butte in the morning, I went over to Echo Ridge to take advantage of the day before the rain. I parked at the Upper TH and did Nowhere to Hide and Big Critter and started the Outback counterclockwise. Near the end of the outback loop, a new trail was a nice diversion back to North Junction. I joined up with the Dust to Glory trail and saw the extensive fire damage all along that trail. The fog kept the vistas to zero but the temperture was perfect for a ride. There was a significant amount of loose sand added to the road to repair it near Quickstep Crossing. As with the Butte, burnt forest is everywhere around the North and East of Echo Ridge but the trails still exist. The cleared foliage also makes trail routing a little easier.
