Raging River
Raging River’s growing trail system is the result of an ongoing partnership between Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
Phase I, completed in 2017, introduced 15+ miles of ridgeline trail in a ‘lollipop’ formation, with a loop at the midpoint. DNR built a 4-mile stacked loop out of Exit 27, while Evergreen crews used excavators at higher elevations to add six more miles. This was the first step toward the Snoqualmie Corridor Recreation Plan’s vision of 40+ miles of trails, eventually connecting to Tiger Mountain.
Phase II, completed in 2020, added the Canyon Creek DH trail, the Raging Tiger 2-way trail, and an extension to the 'Physical Therapy' descent, further expanding riding options.
Phase III brought 11 more miles of trails, ranging from a green XC connector to a black diamond hand-built descent, with several blue-level trails in between. This includes six new trails: four descents (three blue, one black diamond), a blue climb with black diamond technical options, and a green two-way XC connector. Evergreen constructed seven miles and DNR four of the total mileage, using professional crews and volunteers.
Eight more miles opened with Return Policy DH by June 2023.
Phase 4 will be coming soon with more stacked loops off the front side of the hill, giving riders more options off the mountain.
We need volunteers to help finish these trails! Your support is essential, whether clearing brush, shaping trail features, or fine-tuning the final details.
