Ticket to Ride needs a little love! August 27th @ 9am
It’s already been a few months since we gave Ticket to Ride at 360 a proper cut, and the trail is starting to feel a little too cozy in some sections. Gosh, it happens so quick with that salal and blackberries!
Our main focus for this work party will be touching up the overgrowth but focusing on widening back the trail corridor in the areas that have really narrowed in. Now that I have a working machine with all the fancy attachments- A little extra effort now will help make the maintenance go further and keep this trail riding great until we can start building out drainage and prepping for treadwork.
I could really use a couple of volunteers with brushing tools or hedge trimmers to help tackle some of the heavier growth. I’ll also have a couple of rakes available to help remove debris and clean things up as we go. I will also provide you with fancy mixed fuel. Please bring gloves and sturdy shoes and protective ear and eye wear if you have them available. Plus water and snacks to keep yourself comfortable.
Come spend some time outside, get your hands dirty, and help us give Ticket to Ride the fresh cut it deserves!
I will be in the main parking lot of 360 at about 8:50am parked in front of the yellow gate. We will load your tools and you into my vehcile. We are only allowed to have approved and tagged vehicles behind the 360 gate. If you need to leave early, I will drive you out with your tools. If you need to show up later, you will have to hike or bike in to our location.
