Crank Sisters-Mud is the New Black-Fall Group Ride!

Sun, Oct 1  |  10 am

Black Diamond Open Space

WA-169, Black Diamond, WA 98010

This is a super fun, group ride for all levels of riders who identify as female. Plan to meet at 10 am in the BDOS parking lot on Hwy 169. As you're driving south on Hwy 169, the parking lot will be on your left. The parking lot can get full. Please leave yourself enough time to park at an alternate parking lot down the road, and ride in if necessary. Check-in at the Crank Sisters tent, chat with new friends and check out our cool swag. Here's a link to parking directions at the BDOS (Black Diamond Open Space) Parking Lot that you can plug into your phone: https://goo.gl/maps/yB6tdaWjGxj8bwhe8

Around 10 am we'll take some photos then get into groups by speed and skill level to ride for about 1.5-2 hours. As always, we'll take breaks, regroup often, and adjust the pace based on riders' preferences. We have a no-drop policy!

  • Turtle Ride-->Leisurely pace, Green trails, riders stay in one group with frequent rest stops, great for newbies & beginners, super chill
  • Beginner Ride-->Social pace, mostly Green trails + easy Blue trails, riders stay in one group, great for riders who have mountain biked several times & are working on shifting, climbing, descending & cornering
  •  Intermediate Ride-->Moderate pace, mostly Blue trails + easy Black trails, continuous riding with regrouping at major trail junctions, minimal rest stops, confident with shifting & braking as well as riding through roots, rocks & tight turns
  • Fast Ride-->Regroup & go, mostly Black trails (as many as we can find at BDOS), bring it on

Equipment

Please bring a mountain bike in good working order, helmet, gloves, knee and elbow pads, water and a spare bike tube. This ride is specifically for MOUNTAIN BIKES. E-bikes are NOT permitted within King County BDOS (Black Diamond Open Space Park).
