This portion of the future trail system has been designed to provide year-round enjoyment.
We invite you to celebrate with us, elected officials, the town of Darrington, Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and other community partners at our North Mountain Bike Skills Area grand opening on Saturday, July 15.
We’re excited to show off how accessible these trails are to services in downtown Darrington. Join us for an easy 1.5 miles with us from Whitehorse Market (by the Darrington IGA) to the new North Mountain Bike Skills Area. Be prepared at 2:30 p.m. with a helmet, water and ready to sign a release form. Following the ride, participants will then join us for a 3 p.m. “popcycle” celebration at the entrance to the new trails.
These lower-elevation trails are just an introduction to what’s coming. There are 13 additional trails also in design for North Mountain. To learn more, visit our project web page at dnr.wa.gov/DarringtonMTB.
This celebration is being held in conjunction with Darrington Days, which runs from 10 a .m. to 5 p.m. with events around town. Come by and visit us on Darrington Street at the Darrington Street Fair! Learn more.
