The ground was bone dry. Only saw 3 hikers. There must have been a very busy trail gnome at work because all the vegetation was cut back resulting in some fast singletrack. My usual spot (when I ride with my wife) is Grand Ridge in Issaquah. I would say that this ride is just a tiny bit more technical than that. Also the trails here at Youngs/Desire are now very well marked with signs that indicate direction and distance. I was really impressed and this will be high on my list of places close to home here in Renton. I parked at the North end of the Rabbit Trail in the Shadow Ridge neighborhood and it worked very well. I rode just about everything within 1.5 hrs and that was with plenty of stops. A gem in the area!
