Trail Damage/Parking/Garbage
04 | Sep | '17
We have had an extremely dry stretch of weather so the trails are getting really blown out. Please be careful in the corners and stay on the trails. The edges are getting rutted out of the trail line and very loose.
- Parking: If the parking area at 300th is full, please proceed to the Pilchuck Glass School Parking Lot. and park along the edge of the gravel road, not in the horse trailer parking area. The parking at 300th Street is a private road. Don't park out on the street or block the farmhouse pasture gate. The horse arena across the street has new owners and we are not sure if they are okay with bikers parking on the edge of their property.
- Payment: There is a yellow iron man at the kiosk, donations are very much appreciated and needed. The trails are maintained and built 100% by local volunteers and the insurance policy to allow such work is $2500+ per year. Better yet, join the PMBC Bike Club and help this winter and spring keep these trails awesome!
- Litter and Noise: Again, this is a PRIVATE ROAD. Please do not play loud music or have BBQ's in the parking area at 300th Street. Be respectful of the neighbors and imagine having this flow of people in front of your peaceful home in the country. Take all garbage with you, both on the trail and in the parking area.
- Enjoy: Super fun trails! Yield to Horses and Hikers, Yield to the uphill rider and don't skid... practice LEAVE NO TRACE.
