The 'courtesy parking' just past Chelan Rental Resorts rental office was closed by the landowner on 5/29/2017. For now.....from the closed parking area, alternative parking can be found by going right .25 miles up the main road to Echo Ridge at the Forest Service Switchback Alley parking area (5-6 cars) or by going left behind the rental cabin office about 1/8 mile to a small pullout on the right (1-2 cars) which is on Forest Service land. Also, don't park at Echo Valley Downhill Ski Area. The Forest Service is working to restore parking at the bottom of the trail system.

The upper trailhead/parking areas which are on Forest Service land remain fully open to the public: Shoe TH, Upper Echo, Lower Echo, North Junction.
