Tiger Mountain (Phase 1, 2, & 3)
Tiger Mountain has completed Phase III of trail building! Washington Department of Natural Resource and Evergreen crews finished two new trails (after the completion of the new climbing trail—Master Link—by DNR crews). These additions to Tiger mountain offer more ride diversity, an increased number of lower-elevation ride options, and the potential to connect to the Raging River project in the future.
The first trail—named Legend after the late master volunteer Len “The Legend” Francies—is a 1-mile technical descent-only trail off of Northwest Timber. The second trail—Easy Tiger—is a 1.5 mile (2.5mi loop) trail back up to Northwest Timber from the base of The Legend.
Two new advanced level downhill trails, NOTG and Eastbound and Down, are officially open as of August 2018. NOTG offers an alternative downhill-only option from pre-existing Off The Grid to connect with Joyride and Fully Rigid. Eastbound and Down allows for another lower elevation option and an alternate route off of Inside Passage.
Eventually, there is potential for Phase III trails to connect to the Raging River corridor trails to offer increased opportunity for all-day epics, the option of Seattle riders avoiding Highway 18 entirely, and possible connection to exit 22 (Preston) and Taylor Mt.
