Joy Ride maintenance & weatherproofing
Come help us tune up Joy Ride and keep the Tiger Mountain trails open as long as possible this year.
We will meet at the East side gate, as with previous Joy Ride/Silent Swamp work parties.
Weather looks good, but be prepared just in case! Also bring a lunch, snacks, and a bike if you like. I can give a small group a ride to the summit after the work party.
We will meet at the Tiger Mountain East-side Road gate -- NOT the usual summit parking lot on Hwy 18. The East-side road gate is only accessible from southbound Hwy 18. It is 3 miles from I-90 Exit 25 and roughly 1 mile before the summit parking lot. Map: http://goo.gl/maps/IKMzc.
Driving directions: From I-90 head toward the East Tiger Summit parking lot on Hwy 18. The turn-out is 6/10's of a mile after the beginning of the passing lane as you are heading from I90 toward the Summit. It comes up quick. We'll meet at the gate and carpool up to the work site. We have to be on time and lock the gate behind us, so please show up early and be ready to go by the start time.
Parking: We will be parking along the logging road near the far side of the Northwest Timber Trail. If you don't want to take your car on logging roads, there is space to park by the gate and along the logging road just past the gate.
What to bring:
- A willingness to get dirty
- Your bike if you would like because we are going to ride all afternoon

- Riding gear for that afternoon and maybe a change of clothes for after the riding.
