THE RAIN IS HERE, AND IT’S TIME TO GET THESE TRAILS WINTER-READY!
The sandy soil of 360 Parks is getting moisture, which means it’s PRIME TIME to get out there and give these trails some love!
We’ve got miles of trails to maintain, and a little help from the community goes a LONG way. This winter, I’m focusing heavily on maintenance.
BRUSHING: Opening sightlines, cutting back overgrown walls, and giving our trails some breathing room.
DRAINAGE: Clearing and creating drainage so water moves where it should instead of wreaking havoc on our tread.
TREAD WORK: The rain makes our sandy soil more pliable and easier to work with. Riding in moist conditions also helps push loose rock back into the soil, revealing where the tread is holding up and where we need to focus our efforts. Those rocks aren't always the enemy! When properly incorporated, they can help support the tread and improve drainage making 360 a winter-riding gem.
📅 UPCOMING WORK PARTIES:
November 13, 15, 19, 20, 26, 27 & 29!
You can sign up through the main Evergreen calendar. Come for a few hours, get your hands dirty, meet me and fellow riders, and help give back to the trails we all love. Every set of hands makes a difference!
CAN'T MAKE A WORK PARTY? YOU CAN STILL HELP!SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING! 👀 We have miles of trail to keep tabs on, and it's impossible for one person to catch everything. If you come across a hazard, a drainage issue, an overgrown corridor, or something that needs extra attention, shoot me a DM or email. Your eyes on the ground are one of the best tools we have for keeping these trails safe, sustainable, and fun.
These trails don't maintain themselves. The more we work together, the better they'll ride🫡
