Overview

Got some free time on a Wednesday morning? Tom Spoonemore, who actually knows the trails, will lead us on a tour of the old-school, cross-country tech trails outside the Tehaleh bike park. I'll sweep! This is an intermediate ride due to some tech features and some climbing, but it will be at a social pace with breaks to catch our breath. The tour usually involves about 1,000 feet of climbing and ten miles. Tom has to be home by noon, but I can stay until 1:00 if anyone wants to check out a few trails at the actual bike park afterward. Crank Sisters has a no-drop policy. Come ride with us!

Ride Details

  • Trail Type: Green and blue.
  • Skill Level: Intermediate and up.
  • Ride Style: Old school cross-country tech.
  • Pace: Social. Breaks may be frequent but short.
  • Duration: Old school tour will conclude a little before noon. Bike park tour can continue until a little before 1:00.

Location & Parking

Gear Checklist

  • Helmet: Required. Either half shell or full face is fine.
  • Pads: Knee pads recommended but not required.
  • Bike: XC, Trail, or All-mountain in good working condition.
  • Water & Snacks: Bring hydration and snacks. Electrolytes recommended. 
  • Clothing: Dress in layers for variable weather. 

Weather & Cancellation

  • We ride in light rain or drizzle.
  • Canceled/rescheduled only for heavy rain, high winds, or unsafe conditions.
  • Updates are posted the evening before the ride if the weather is uncertain.

Participation

  • Riders should be 18+ or riding with a parent/guardian
