Naches Fest is back and we have a new zone picked out for this year!
We're moving over to the Soup Creek/Wildcat area on HWY 12 (White Pass) where we've been working on Russell Ridge (1111 Trail) all summer. After the Wildcat Road washed out in 2013 the trail has seen intermittent maintenance and limited use, but the backcountry character of the area has only gotten better. After several work parties Russell Ridge is back in good shape. With the road system it can be ridden as a long loop or short loops or you can stack loops for a much bigger ride. Soup Creek will be a ride option as well.
The plan is to set up a group camp just off of the Wildcat Rd about 1/2 mile below the road closure.

Other camping options nearby include Haus Creek Campground, Rimrock Penninsular Campground, and numerous dispersed sites in the area. It is Whitewater season on the Tieton River so dispersed sites will harder to come by than normal.
