This on-bike clinic serves as the definitive introduction to suspension setup for intermediate + riders who want to begin understanding how bike setup affects your riding experience. Our certified instructors provide step-by-step guidance to create a supportive and fun atmosphere for all participants.
This hands-on class is not an expert-level tuning service, but it will get you started in learning how suspension works. You will be actively riding your bike in between adjustments to find the right settings for you. The class is designed for the most common types of suspension components: Air-Sprung Fox and RockShox. If your bike uses another brand or style of shock or fork, let us know and we'll see if this class will be applicable. In this class, you'll learn:
- How to set sag
- Understand high and low speed compression and rebound
- Identify and describe how the bike responds to suspension adjustments
- How to use bracketing to make your bike feel awesome
Prerequisites:
You do not need any prior knowledge about suspension tuning or set-up however we recommend this class for intermediate + riders who are ready to learn how bike set-up can improve your bike's feel over a variety of terrain.
