About the Ride:
Let's start the day with a bang enjoying a ride through one of our local old(er) growth forests!
Be ready for quick introductions, a bike check, and group photo at 9:30am before we hit the trails. Please be on time; we can't wait longer than 15 minutes for late riders to arrive.
Trail Description:
Grand Ridge has wider flowy trails with a handful of green/easy blue technical bits here and there in the form of corners, roots, and rock, but all are easy to see in advance to either ride around or walk over them. We will cross a couple large wood bridges and there is some gradual climbing with some equpally fun downs.
We'll meet in Central Park - follow Central Park Ln NE all the way to the end at the Lower Soccer Fields parking low. We will enter Grand Ridge Park at the Houston/Fieldy Entrance and proceed to Coal Mine Loop Trail - West. From there we'll hop onto Grand Ridge and connect to the Water Tower Loop. If time permits, we can pick up Spruce Coaster Trail, on of my faves, before rejoining Grand Ridge and heading back to the parking lot the way we came. Trail names are per the most recent online King County Grand Ridge park map.
Distance: Approximately 8 miles.
Directions:
1907 NE Park Dr, Issaquah, WA 98029. Meet at the last parking lot near the Lower Soccer Fields.
