Sunday Social with Ride Bicycles
ATTN: We will have a new route for a group ride tomorrow. Ollalie has tons of blown down trees and with todays rain the trail will be very sloppy. Our new ride tomrrow will be Grand Ridge up to the water tower loop and then back(option to continue on to duthie). We will meet/start from Ride Bicycles and end at Ride Bicycles. All the times are the same. The approxomite amount of miles is 10 and the vertical climb will be 1100ish. Please free to call the shop or email us if you have any questions. We are looking forward to seeing you on the group ride.
BICYCLES BIKE SHOP is proud to announce Sunday Social with Ride Bicycles,
Our monthly group ride for 2024!
Starting January 28th, we’ll be hosting a group ride on the last Sunday of each month.
Location, trail difficulty and meetup time will all vary, so please be sure to read the details of each ride when you RSVP. We appreciate all of the support that we’ve received from our local cycling community and want to share a fun time of riding bikes and hanging out with you all.
So please come out and join us on our Sunday Social with Ride Bicycles.
When?
On January 28th our group will ride a fun portion of the Olallie trail.
Where?
Our starting point will be Rattlesnake Lake Park. We will meet in the parking area near the restrooms (look for our tent).
Who is this ride for?
Olallie is one of the only trails in the area that allows e-MTBs (electric-assist mountain bikes), so we welcome both e-MTBs and non-eMTBs. The trail difficulty is classified as a blue square. Riders should be fit enough to not walk up the climb. The descent is not technical; it is a fast flowy trail with a few tight switchbacks.
Leaving from the parking lot our ride will be ~10 miles roundtrip estimate.
What to bring?
Bring a helmet, jacket, warm gloves, water, snacks and maybe some hand warmers. Ride Bicycles will be providing coffee and donuts at the meet and greet before we begin pedaling.
Meet and greet starts at 10:30a and ends at 11:00a. At 11:00a we will leave the parking lot and start our ride. At the end of the ride, you are all welcome to join us for a post ride beer(not provided by Ride Bicycles) at Southfork North Bend (https://southforknorthbend.com/).
If you would like to rent an e-MTB use a discount code at Ride Bicycles (https://ridebicycles.com/pages/bike-rentals) for 10% a demo rental. An e-MTB is not necessary for this ride.
Please RSVP at Evergreen MTB Alliance (https://www.evergreenmtb.org/calendar) and we hope to see you there. For news on events, group rides and products, please follow us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/ridebicycles/. If weather or trail conditions are too poor to ride we will post a cancellation notice or change of trail on Evergreeen’s website and on our Ride Bicycles Instagram page.
A Discovery Pass is required to park inside the Rattlesnake Lake Park. If you do not have a Discovery Pass, one can be purchased online ( https://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/ ). You may also park outside of the park's gate and pedal in a short distance to the meet up area.
