LOCATION CHANGED FROM SUN MOUNTAIN; WE WILL NOW BE WORKING ON THE BEAR MOUNTAIN TRAIL/ NEW DESCENDING TRAIL ON BEAR MOUNTAIN
Bear Mountain Tune Up
Meeting time will be 9am and we will work till 3
We will be meeting at the Bottom of the Bear Mountain Trail and then shuttling to the Top of the Trail. There was a wind/snow event that caused over 100 blow downs on a new descending trail that descends into the Bear Mountain trail. We will be working on both the new descending trail and the Bear Mountain Trail during this dig day.
Meeting location: From HWY 20 ( heading towards Loup Loup Pass) take a left onto Upper Beaver Creek Road. Follow Upper Beaver Creek until it turns to dirt. Drive roughly a mile and then take a right onto FS Rd 4225. Its right after a campground. If you hit the ligtening creek trail you have gone too far. Continue up FS Rd 4225 for a 3 miles and the Exit to the Bear Mountain Trail will be on your right. This will be our staging area for the dig day.
Please bring food, gloves and lots of food as this is a remote location. We will also have a group of 5-6 dedicated sawyers. We will be breaking up into teams of 2-4 to buck the two trails.
This is a great dig day to open up some awesome old and new terrain!!!
