Thompson Ridge Fire Restoration Work Party - Methow

Come join us to get our Sun Mountain trails reopened!

After a tough summer in 2021, many of the Sun Mountain trails were affected by the Cedar Creek Fire.  We need your help to bring these trails back to a safe and rideable condition. 

 

IMPORTANT: We'll be working over 3 miles from where we'll be parking. All participants must be able to easily ride or hike that distance. 

 

We’ll meet at the North End of the Thompson Ridge Trail/Start of Gobbler's Teaser at 9AM on Saturday July 9th.

REQUIRED: Please Bring a Hard Hat or Bike Helmet as we will be working in a burn affected area. Head Protection for each participant is 100% Mandatory. 

Please register below so we know how many tools to stage at the work site. Having an idea of how many participants we will have is very important. 

 

We plan to work until 2pm or so. Feel free to take off before then if needed but please do not be late for the 9am start time. Showing up at least 10 minutes early is ideal. 

Tools will be staged ahead of time, so feel free to bring a bike to ride to and from the work site. 

 

We will provide all necessary trail work tools. If you have a favorite trail tool, bring it with! 

What you need to bring:

-Hard Hat or bike helmet

-Sturdy Shoes (boots are preferred) 

-Water and snacks 

-Small-Medium Backpack 

-Work gloves

-Long pants and sleeves
