Our gratitude goes beyond words for this incredible community. We came together to share stories, dig trails, ride trails, camp out, and empower each other on and off the trails. Oh, and the trails Skyline, Out Of The Blue, and Showcase Showdown are looking so good thanks to these ladies!
THANK YOU @redbull @transitionbikes @sram.pnw @srammtb @eqpdgear @moes.coffeeshops @sacredrides @huckwagons + many more for your support with this event!

Shovel and Shred presented by Red Bull is an opportunity for women & female-identifying folks to dig and ride alongside expert builders and professional athletes. This was our third year putting on this event and it was bigger than ever! We extended it to two full days this year to make space and time for deeper connection, camping out under the stars (and rain) together.
Every one brought unique stories, insights, and experiences to share with each other. Trails are living things, ever-changing with the seasons and as is the MTB community. What we are building here, we believe, is incredibly special and ever-changing.
On Saturday, we grabbed our tools and went to work on the North Mountain trails. Watching the trail pros, Hannah Bergemann and Heather de Choudens, lead tread work and rebuilds was amazing.
The Saturday evening panel was a new addition this year and the line up was intentional! A vibrant representation of the local leaders here in the PNW, Nikki Ziemer, Heather de Choudens, April Katz and Kate Pearce, and the international powerhouses Hannah Bergemann, Ana Julia Gutierrez, and Cami Nogueria, made for an evening of inspiration. We discussed topics ranging from their experience as professional athletes to being community leaders.
On Sunday we rode bikes ALL DAY with shuttles thanks to Sacred Rides and Huckwagon! It was awesome to see the party line of women on North Mountain and hear the stories from the trail – tackling slick roots, going from rain to sunshine to snow, and the gap jump on Showcase Showdown (shoutout to Dern!).
