Palouse to Cascades Bypass Trail Project 2026
This spring, we teamed up with Washington State Parks & Recreation Commission and the Washington State Parks Foundation to help restore access along the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail following significant storm damage caused by this winter’s atmospheric river event.

Our team led the build of a temporary 350-foot bypass trail just west of the Homestead Valley Trailhead to reconnect the closed section of trail and restore public access as quickly and safely as possible. Our pro builder Scott Miller started the project in late May, and opened the bypass trail to the public on June 5th. Scott and our team were quick and efficient, finishing the project in 11 working days.

Big thanks to Washington State Parks and the Washington State Parks Foundation for their partnership, support, and commitment to keeping this important cross-state trail corridor accessible for hikers, riders, and equestrians alike. Since reopening, the reroute has already been enjoyed by many trail users.
The temporary reroute will remain in place until a long-term solution can be funded and constructed. In the meantime, please continue to respect any remaining trail closures for everyone's safety.
