From their humble, perhaps reserved beginnings in 2010, the Sturdy Bitches have progressed from a group of likeminded women looking to ride together, to a bad-ass group of ladies who successfully hosted the first women’s enduro race in the U.S.!

Registration and volunteer sign-up is now open for the Sturdy Dirty Enduro (7/13), the women-focused enduro race and party-on-bikes featuring favorite new and old trails at Tiger Mountain.

After two successful years of staging a 3-race women’s enduro series in multiple states, the Sturdy Dirty team is bringing their signature race back to their stomping grounds in the Pacific Northwest. Furthering that local focus, they’ve created an entire series of coached clinics to get racers primed for the race day.

“We love sharing the fun-first philosophy behind the Sturdy Dirty Enduro with people across the country,”

“For 2019 we also wanted to hone in on a way to build the individual racer’s confidence and skills well in advance of our race,” says Sucich, “Our teammate Ady Bee Lane had the great idea to offer skill-building opportunities every month leading up to the main event.”

In January, Evergreen and Sturdy B partnered to host a Trail School for women at Raging River. The event filled up within just a few weeks!

The group learned core principles of trailbuilding in a classroom setting followed by an afternoon working on Raging River's new Canyon Creek DH.

Sturdy B is continuing their innovative approach to race promotion by offering clinics for racers leading up to their July 13th enduro. Renowned local pros Jill Kintner, Angie Weston, Kat Sweet and Anne Galyean will be teaching these clinics which will cover subjects ranging from cornering technique to progressive bike handling.

The clinics are for registered racers only, but other events are open to anyone, including a monthly Raging River trail work party on the new trail the team is sponsoring, and the Sturdy Dirty Enduro race on July 13th.
