National Trails Day is June 6th: Here are some ways to spend it outside
Established in 1993 by the American Hiking Society, National Trails Day is held annually on the first Saturday in June to celebrate America's trail systems and promote outdoor recreation, environmental conservation, and volunteer stewardship.
National Trails Day is all about getting outside and celebrating the trails that connect our communities to adventure, nature, and each other. Whether you are riding, hiking, volunteering, or simply exploring somewhere new, it is a reminder of how much trails add to our lives, and how important it is to care for them.Β
