Meet Our New Leadership!
You asked for more trails, a larger focus on advocacy, and continued growth of mountain biking opportunities in Washington—and we’ve brought you that, but it’s a lot of work!
So to help expand our capabilities, we’ve split the previous Executive Director role into two equally vital positions—Executive Director andDirector of Operations.
And we’d like to introduce you to the new leadership that will help carry our momentum into 2016 and beyond!
Executive Director: Yvonne Kraus
An accomplished cross-country rider (with an impressive race record), Yvonne joins Evergreen with 16 years of experience as Program Director and Regional Manager working with communities in the green building and energy efficiency industry.
“I’ve been involved in mountain biking for 20 years now and I’m very excited to have the opportunity to lead Evergreen into this next period of growth,” says Yvonne “I’m looking forward to getting to know the statewide community and working with the Evergreen team to continue to ensure that mountain biking trails and parks become a top recreational priority in Washington.”
With a strong focus on facilitation, community outreach, and public involvement, Yvonne will be focused on external relations, fundraising, advocacy work, and maintaining Evergreen’s presence in Olympia.
Director of Operations: Dave Bandstra
An avid rider (with an unimpressive race record), Dave began working at Evergreen in September and is already a vital addition to the team .
Coming on board to assist with the exciting projects currently underway, Dave will manage our growing staff and also assist as Evergreen’s in-house counsel.
Dave’s background as both an attorney as well as an operations manager will allow Evergreen to better face the challenges that lay ahead with our rapid growth and increasing number of projects.
“I’m really excited to work with such an engaged community here at Evergreen," says Dave "everyone is so passionate about riding, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming projects we are engaged in, as well as helping the Evergreen staff to be as efficient as possible. And hopefully we can find them enough free time to actually ride their bikes!”
