Donate Your Old Bike and Help Evergreen’s Education Program!
We need your help! You may remember last winter that we reached out to our community to collect used mountain bikes in good condition for a potential program we would like to develop.
We are now close to launching this program: Evergreen’s Trail Access Program – providing opportunities for less fortunate youth to get outside and have fun learning how to mountain bike.
We are in need of additional bikes and looking for a range of sizes but our greatest need is for 24” (wheel size) junior bikes along with 13” and 15” adult sized frames. Thanks to the efforts of Matt at Progression Cycle and Jeff at Dirt Merchant Bikes who have offered to help check out the bikes, but still we ask that only good, functioning mountain bikes be donated.
We all know many benefits to mountain biking. You can help Evergreen introduce more kids to the health, adventure, and joy of a lifetime on two wheels.
If you are interested in contributing a bike to this effort we will be doing a bike donation drop off day on the morning of June 20th in the Duthie parking lot. If you can’t make it to Duthie on the 20th and would rather drop your bike donation by the Evergreen office; or if you have questions please contact Mike Sidwell – .
*Since Evergreen is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, bikes donated qualify as a tax-deductible contribution.
