A Rare Chance: You Can Fund TWO New Trails Today

Agreements are in place. Crews are on the ground.

We just need you.

YvonneGiveBig FinalYT250pxNo exaggeration. We have a rare opportunity to self-fund TWO projects in the Town of Skykomish—but only with your support now (seriously).

You can make this happen. We have until the snow returns to complete a 10-mile sub alpine loop at Alpine Baldy, and to design and flag new trails at Maloney Rock – which has potential to offer the largest shuttleable vertical DH trail in Washington State!

Permits expire and weather windows close—if we don’t (beat the fall snow and) fund these TWO new trails now—we may lose them—or be forced to wait years before we have this unique opportunity again. Give Big now to help make Skykomish an epic trail town!

Skykomish: Three Projects in a Growing Trail Town

Alpine Baldy: Epic Views at 5,000’

AlpineBaldyView10Mile250pxIn 2016, you helped raise funds to build Phase 1 - a challenging 7-mile trail opening this summer! But why stop at an out-and-back when permits are in place to build a 10-mile loop

This rare opportunity is unique—and YOU can make this sub-alpine loop happen today.   Crews are already on the mountain – help them start Phase 2 this summer. With luck, we’ll complete the loop before the snow returns and you’ll be riding this breathtaking loop next spring.

Maloney Rock: Potential for the Largest Shuttleable DH Vertical in Washington!

MaloneyRockTrailBranded250pxMaloney Rock - a grand viewpoint of the entire Skykomish River Valley, towers right above the town of Skykomish.

Evergreen is donating crew time to design and flag a trail network that promises to be one of the best trail systems in the region.

Combined with an extension to Sobieski Peak behind it, Maloney could offer shuttleable downhill trails starting at 4,400’ and descending 3,400’—that’s Whistler-level riding right in Skykomish!

But we need you to make this happen—there is no other design funding without your donation today. We’re taking a risk by flagging trail corridors NOW (as you read this!)—in the hopes that Give Big donations will help cover our expense. We’re not holding back – and we hope you don’t either!

Skykomish Pump Track

PumpTrack2 250pxA few blocks from the Maloney Rock trailhead sits the Skykomish Pump track. Fun and family-friendly, this track will be the highlight of this growing trail town.

You helped fund this track last year, and it’s opening this summer! Your direct support leads to new places to ride and jobs for our crew.  Let’s keep it going!

Why Give Big Now?

We have a short window of opportunity to make the Alpine Baldy loop happen this year, and we need Maloney flagged ASAP to enable environmental reviews this summer.

We need to move fast. Permits expire, weather turns, and we want to deliver these projects to you NOW so we don’t miss out on this unique opportunity and help turn Skykomish into the riding destination it can be!

Schedule your GiveBig donation today, talk to your employer about donation matching, and share this email with a friend. With your help, we can self-fund these projects and deliver an incredible trail network to Washington’s newest trail town.
