One of Evergreen’s favorite events—Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day—continues to be a huge success thanks to our members and sponsors!
Even though the forecast threatened rain, parents, kids, and riding friends came out in
droves for a day of guided rides and mini skills clinics from the Evergreen Education Program, Little Shredder and Jump Rides from SweetLines Junior Racing and a BBQ Lunch from Gregg’s Cycles. Not only did the weather hold—it made for perfect riding!
Adding to the excitement, Evergreen raffled off a record 4 bikes to some lucky boys and girls—a huge thank you goes out to Diamondback for the Sync’r 24, Trek for the Superfly 24, and to Kona for two Makena’s that all went out to our winners.
Evergreen’s office staff would like to thank everyone who came out to make the day so much fun, and specifically our volunteers—whether they helped as instructors, registration table attendees, or set-up and break-down crews, the folks who donate their time making this entire day possible—thank you!
We’d also like to recognize our partners at King County, whose support allows this event to happen every year, to all the supporting shops (see a list of who came out below) and MTB groups, to Gregg’s Cycle for the additional donation collection at the event, and of course, all of you who came out to share the day with us. Thanks again, and we’ll see you next year!
