Riverside State Park

Info

You’ll find Riverside State Park nestled along the Spokane River a few miles Northwest of downtown Spokane. Boasting 14,000 acres, the park offers recreation opportunities for a diverse group of users — expect trail traffic in both directions and yield to hikers and equestrian users.

Riverside State Park has more than 70 miles of trails open to mountain bikers. The majority of routes are a combination of dirt/doubletrack and singletrack. The area is loved by cross country riders who enjoy the routes that can be tied together throughout the park in endless loops and combinations. The character of Riverside is mellow rolling single track through Ponderosa forest and meadows, peppered with occasional chunks of basalt, rounded river rocks, and gravel.

Not to be missed is the 4 miles of singletrack that hug the shoreline from Bowl and Pitcher to the Wilber Trailhead.  On the west side of the river there are tons of easy to moderate singletrack trails to choose from. Further downstream in the Deep Creek area, the trails get steeper, chunkier, and more difficult. The 24-hour race course is a favorite. The length and difficulty of your ride is only limited by how much time you have that day. Riverside State Park is a great place to take the whole family, and it is especially forgiving for novice riders. Got singlespeed? Riverside State Park is for you!

All vehicles that enter the park require a Discover Pass. There are many areas to access Riverside State Park but Bowl & Pitcher or the Wilber Trailhead are probably the most frequented.
