Tom Sawyer Along the Snohomish River
It was a nice weather day before the rains start up again. The trails at Lord Hill were fairly well drained but had patches of greasy mud in spots but not anything to worry about. There is a tree still at the runout of the Goldeneye rock drop and another half way up the climb to the towers from the West View road. After my Springboard and Meet Cutter run, I went down to the river to see its high level. There was no real beach front, but just enough for the report image. The rest of the ride was nice. The Trailforks Ride Log with the tree pictures is located here. Sing the rest of this report to Rush's song about the boy in the title (or symbolically about America)
-----------
A modern day warrior on a mean, mean ride
Evergreen's “tomvale”, mean, mean pride
Though his bikes are not for rent
But loaned to friends whose frames are bent
His reserve, for endless climbs
Riding down the awesome lines
To rivers
And our group’s name is Evergreen
Our mountain bike society
Watch the sends, Watch the fails
Watch successes, Watch the bails
Our world is, our world is
Love and life on trails
Maybe as our eyes plan rides
Evergreen's “tomvale”
He gets high on views
From the peaks he ascends
He sees all of you
No, his bikes are not for rent
But loaned to friends whose frames are bent
Always hopeful, mostly content
He knows chains aren't permanent
But change is
And our group’s name is Evergreen
Our mountain bike society
Watch the sends, Watch the fails
Watch successes, Watch the bails
Our world is, our world is
Love and life on trails
Maybe as our eyes plan rides
Exit the warrior
Evergreen's “tomvale”
He gets high on views
And when ready to go
He descends down the hero trails of the day. :-)
