Riding Alone

Sing this report to Heart's "Alone"

I hear the rumble of my truck
While parking at the trailhead
I wonder if I’ll enjoy this ride
See wildlife or more biker friends
The riders fly when they hit the flow
And I hope a crash won’t end me though
Alone

Till now I always rode bikes on my own
I always explored the Cascades by myself
I climb a bunch and explore remote zones.
That’s why I bike all alone.
That’s why I bike all alone.

You don't know how long I loved wanting
To hit the jumps and hang in flight
You don't know how long I have waited
To explore forests and even try a night ride
The MTB sport is not my own
And my love for it is not unknown
Alone

Till now I always rode bikes on my own
It gave me time to think about my life
And now it thrills me to the bone
That’s why I have biked alone
That’s why I have biked alone

That’s why I have biked alone
That’s why I have biked alone

All Alone... all alone...

Went to Cherry Valley to see the wind damage and mitigation work since the bomb cyclone. Kudos to the sawyers that have already done a significant amount of clearing. Outer Limits has a couple trees near the top and a pile to clear just before it on Burnt Cedar. The Escorlator Road climb has a bunch for the chainsaw crews. Funner, YGD, and Cyclops were all great but some wind debris to rake before Spring.  The Trailforks ride log with pictures is here.
