Back To My Happy Place

I was watching the weather closely to find a break between the storms. That break came really early this morning and I arrived at the lower shuttle lot right at sunrise. Last night's winds blew a lot of stuff down so there were some bows and trees to clear or report. The climbing road to Pathfinder has a large tree across it blocking vehicle access just after the switchback but riders can duck under it. A tree came down on to the Lower Skyline bridge and damaged one railing but I was able to saw and clear it. After doing lower Skyline to warm up, I climbed as high as I had time for, or until I hit deep snow. I was able to get up to the upper lot where only a little slushy residual snow was left. Skyline was in great condition with some dicy rooty sections. The rooty, steep, section had a rotten tree across it and was easy to break up and move it away in sections. Just past the Jackpot junction were two smaller trees over a berm corner that I didn't have time to clear today but it could be handsawed if not chainsawed. The Trailforks ride log with pictures is here.
