A Double Track Day
I went out to Sultan Basin Road this morning to go climb and traverse the ridge and also add an out-and-back to Upper Wallace Falls before getting back to the truck. I started climbing the west side and there was a decommissioned section of about a 1/4 mile that will grow over in a year or two so I'm guessing they have an alternate route for the log trucks to still access the ridgeline timber cuts. There was a little cloudiness this morning but it was light enough to see Rainier at one point and Pilchuck a little later. The eastern descent from the towers is exhilarating and the return descent from Wallace Lake is also just as fun. It was a wonderful day. I crossed paths with 4 deer and one coyote today.
