I've been away in Oregon on a family ocean outing and attending to other family affairs so I have been itching to get out to Darrington since it's been 4 weeks. I parked at the lower shuttle lot and climbed to the summit in fog above 2000'. The ground was wet from the rain but it should be ideal for you guys this weekend! There is one tree to clear at the high point of the Out of the Blue trail and I cleared one at the end of Hoot Owl. Skyline was a little dicy with wet roots but should be dry for the weekend! When in Florence, Oregon, I really suggest the one hour Sand Rail tour in the Oregon Dunes!!!! It was almost more fun than a flow or tech trail! The family and I went twice. Here is one GPS track for that fun.
