Needs Crew Work but Beautiful and Remote

Like other posts have decried, this trail is really over grown and that is no exaggeration ! The last mile and a half mile was impassable. It’s sad that this trail has been neglected for several years.

It is super beautiful and is an awesome short adventure ride, not a bike park ride like Ollalie, Tiger, or Raging River. We saw more bear poop than I have seen in my whole life. One area was so stinky of bears, it smelled like a horse stable. It’s a ride that takes some stamina, there are a lot of short steep climbs and descents, and some large rock gardens. If you think Tiger Preston is med/easy, then this should be a breeze, but if you think all of Tiger is difficult, then expect some challenges.

Recommendations: flat pedals, long fingered gloves, and extra pair of gloves if after a rain, an old rain coat to protect your arms from scratches and possibly shed water, a way to protect your shoes from water falling off the brush, a whistle or a bell to alert the bears. We did it several hours after a misty rain and got soaked from the water on the leaves. I wrung out my long sleeve wool shirt twice and my gloves multiple times.

I may volunteer for a work party to clean it up.
