WF Humptulips, Gorge Bridge to Petes Creek
I rode the section from Gorge Bridge TH to Petes Creek trail; parked at the Switchback TH and went downstream, then took the road back to the car, then went upstream to Petes Creek, then took the road back to the car.
Trail was in great condition overall (well, compared to when a few of us rode Campbell Tree Grove to Petes Creek, 10 years ago, when it was reeaally overgrown).
I'd read in a recent WTA trip report that the Backcountry Horsemen had done a lot of recent work here, and sure enough, there were hardly *any* logs blocking the trail. A few brushy areas, but nothing too bad. There were also some recent re-routes, some of which were sandy/loose and so had to be walked.
All of the river fordings (about 15 over the 9 miles that I did) were all very doable, about a foot deep. The USGS gauge at US-101 showed about 65 CFS for this day, for future reference.
Being a weekday, I only saw two people on the trail the entire time.
Overall an awesome ride, as long as you like ... or at least don't hate... lots of roots, and having waterlogged shoes from all the river fordings, LOL.
