July Ride Report

Rode Spring Lake trails for the first time. Some observations:
- Park at the State fish boat launch - but you will need a permit to park there. A few spots to park at the trail head which is just opposite the launch, but wonder about security.
- Trails are easy, almost no technical parts. Lots of little offshoots and side trails that go nowhere or quickly become unrideable. One small climb on double track to the top of the water tower, and a fun little romp on the trail back down. Trails were dry and in great shape.
- I left my Evergreen map at home - big mistake. Lost my way and ended up riding on the roads back to the boat launch in the dark. The King county map is quite good and shows the trails well.
- Short, fun XC ride, that is good for an hour or two of riding. Do several loops to make it a longer ride.
