Rode Hanson Ridge for the first time yesterday starting around 10am.

The dirt is in great condition, even moist in places under tree cover. Dusty in exposed places but no more than usual on a rocky trail. It was really fun to ride.

Awesome scenerey for pretty much the entire trail. A nice mild XC big mountain ride with no major climbs but still a decent amount of ups and downs. It is exposed though, so it will be HOT. Bring a towel to cover up with and cool down with in the springs that cross the trail. Also bring lots of water and maybe a filter to top up with at the lake. It wasn't so bad in the morning, but I got roasted on the return trip in the afternoon.

There was fresh trash in the shooting range including tampons and underwear. Also picked up some fresh shotgun casings at the lake. Keep it classy, hill people! Also noticed a very fresh dirt bike track on the trail where it meets the fire road, but it looks like the bike only went in 50 years then turned around and left.
