Raging River Phase 3
Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the Washington Department of Natural Resources have again partnered together to create 11 miles of new trails in the Raging River State Forest. Phase 3 trails range from a green level machine-built XC trail to connect the bottom of Lower Return Policy to the Raging-Tiger trail, to right a black diamond hand-built descent, and lots of blue level trails in between.
6 new trails: 4 Descents (3 blue, 1 black diamond), 1 climb (blue with technical black diamond options), and a green 2-way XC connector. See high level plan map below.
Mileage: 11 miles total – 7 built by Evergreen and 4 built by DNR – a mix of hand-build and excavator construction. Some volunteer powered and some built mostly by professional staff builders. That will bring the total miles at the Raging to 36. 8 miles will open in June 2023 – 5 built by Evergreen (A1,2,3 & B/PCDH) and 3 built by DNR (Lower Return Policy XC Connection). The new Return Policy DH (another 3 miles) is a joint Evergreen/DNR project and will open in the late spring 2024. 2 miles built by Evergreen and 1 mile by DNR.
There are tons of opportunities to volunteer and we need your help to get these trail completed on time. From new trail corridor brushing and bucking to final trail shaping and tuning, Join a Phase 3 work party by registering in the links below:
