Anderson Lake State Park
Key Info
Stats
General
Mostly single track loop of park with some climbing, the occasional ladder and log ride. The lake side trail is zoned Natural and is therefore off limits to all but foot traffic. By far the best riding, can be found on the outer loop. These are multi use trails, so expect to see the odd horse or dog walker. Anderson Lake trail system is built and maintained by the Quimper Trails Association
A small corner of the park can be found across Anderson Lake Road. A trail here allows users to connect onto the DNR land to the south. This is a more difficult trail with some well built stunts and eventually it will connect all the way to the trail system at Gibbs Lake. As of Dec 2010, this trail is nearly half built!

Misc. Info:
The Park's lake is closed due to toxic algae. You are still allowed to mountain bike though. Just don't go near the water, it has killed dogs.
You will run across a handful of mud spots in the winter, but the trails are mostly well drained.
QTA has been working for sevaral years with the State Parks Department to develope a ridable trail system within Anderson Lake State Park. New trail has been added with repair and drainage of water logged sections have helped turn the park into an interesting ride.
The Parks Department is in the process of writing a plan for the park. Link to PDF of plan A 200 foot buffer around the lake has been declared Natural. This has caused part of the Lakeside Trail, built by QTA to become off limits to bikes. QTA is proposing a reroute to allow bikers to bypass this section and still loop the park.
QTA is in negotiation with DNR and Pope Recourses on a two mile section of trail that can be accessed on the south side of Anderson Lake Rd. It is preposed that this trail will eventually link Anderson Lake Park to Gibbs Lake County Park. This trail terminates at a view point over Discovery Bay.
In the long term it is planned that the Olympic Discovery Trail will pass through this Park

Ride Reports
Most trails are in good condition despite being wet. The trails are rooty but still very rideable. The wood features built ~10 years ago are disappearing back into the forest.
Across the road from the park entrance are segments of trails that were made with mountain bikes in mind. About 3...
