The Systems Administrator assists Evergreen staff and technology volunteers in maintaining and improving Evergreen's technology systems. This role encompasses a combination of day-to-day website maintenance duties, including software upgrades, system health monitoring, data imports, and data issue resolution. Long-term projects include performance optimization, website enhancements, maintaining office systems, assessing technology and office processes, and implementing new features and processes. A critical part of this position is focused on improving Evergreen's technology-related processes and documentation.

The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance was originally formed over 30 years ago in response to the need for rider advocacy and trails in the Seattle area. Now a statewide organization, we continue to rely on our volunteer trail builders and chapter leaders to deliver our organization's mission and vision, with the administrative team supporting that work. Our workplace is mostly hybrid, with an office in North Bend, WA. The team culture is centered around cross-departmental collaboration, effective communication, diligence and dedication, and maintaining a healthy balance of life and professional priorities. We are also a team of avid riders, outdoor recreationists, and lovers of our wild places.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve system and user issues for both staff and customers.
- Monitor and maintain production and test website environments.
- Manage the company's Google Workplace instance, including user accounts, groups, and Google Drive permissions.
- Ensure office systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Generate monthly reports to support monthly financial and membership reconciliations.
- Configure new website event registrations based on staff and Chapter requests.
- Periodically check for, analyze, and resolve data integrity issues.
- Provide technology and IT support for computer and software systems used by staff.
- Format and sanitize data from external systems for import into our donor CRM.
- Perform monthly and ad-hoc updates of constituent data as requested by staff and volunteers.
- Update company KPIs, dashboards, and other required reports according to a set schedule.
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and third-party vendors to enhance and develop new capabilities.
- Test new capabilities, including defining test cases.
- Communicate with third-party vendors and monitor their performance.
- Maintain and develop new tools, website features, templates, procedures, and documentation.
- Work closely with members and volunteers while upholding Evergreen's standards of professionalism and passion for mountain biking.
- Assist with event registrations, payments, refunds, and participant communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned related to volunteer engagement, office responsibilities, and general administration.
Ideal Candidate
You are deeply passionate about Evergreen’s mission and vision and committed to fostering equity within the organization and the broader community. You bring a minimum of three years of professional IT or technology work, including website and SQL database management.
You are also:
- Proficient in data management and reporting using Excel or similar software.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about implementing and documenting new operational and administrative procedures.
- Experienced in collaborating and communicating with staff and volunteers to achieve shared goals.
- Skilled in customer service and interpersonal communication.
- Proven record of managing admin systems and understanding of risk management and security.
- Experienced in coordinating and executing in-person and virtual community events.
- Adaptable and quick to learn new technology and tasks independently.
- A collaborative team player who can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Three years of professional IT or technology work, including website and SQL database management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace.
- Familiar with web development technologies, including:
- PHP programming
- MySQL
- HTML and CSS
- Comfortable managing content management systems (Joomla, Wordpress), customer relationship management systems (CiviCRM), and software version control tools (GitHub).
- Holds a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and has reliable personal transportation.
- A resident of Washington State.
- Candidates will be subject to a background check. Any issues that surfaced will be managed on a case-by-case basis.

Employment Agreement
The Systems Administration is a full-time, exempt position with flexible work hours and the ability to work remotely. This full-time position requires availability on evenings and weekends and reports to the Operations Director.
Benefits include:
- Eleven holidays (88 hours) paid holidays off per year.
- Twenty days (160 hours) of personal time off per year.
- $210/pay period stipend to assist with health care premiums.

- Annual tech upgrades of up to $500 upon pre-approval, based on yearly equipment needs and requests.

Evergreen employees collaborate on their computers using Google Workplace and Office 365. We will help you with any questions regarding Affordable Health Care Act options and are available to review Health Care premiums should they be limited and/or differ significantly from the stipend offered.
Location: North Bend, WA. Remote work locations are assumed and permitted, with a recommended 1-day week office day in North Bend, mandatory in-person planning meetings and retreats, and Board retreat attendance at various locations throughout the state. Must be a Washington resident.

Compensation: Hourly range $29.00 - $33.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
