DETAILS

We will meet at the Ranger Creek Campground at 9am on Sunday November 17th. Bring a bike.

A NW Forest day pass or America the Beautiful pass is required for the various nearby trail heads. (Discover pass is NOT valid)

There is very limited cell service in the valley. Please make sure you have directions downloaded before leaving the Enumclaw area.

There are several campgrounds in the area and a small amount of dispersed sites as well. The Dalles and Ranger Creek are the closest campgrounds. Ranger Creek is a 5 dollar fee site with a vault toilet and NO potable water.

Maintenance work

General trail clearing is on the agenda. Brush cutters, hand saws, loppers and debris rakes will be on hand and very useful.

What should you bring?

  • Work boots or tough hiking boots (sturdy footwear)
  • Weather appropriate clothing. Check the forecast before heading out.

  • Maybe a change of clothes after a fun filled day!
  • Bike for a shuttle lap at the end of the work party!

  • Boots
  • Long pants
  • Work gloves
  • Long-sleeved shirt recommended
  • Eye protection recommended (glasses, sunglasses or safety glasses)

Extra Info

Meet at Ranger Creek Campground area. I will drive volunteers, ride gear, work gear, tools and bikes up to the Suntop work site. After the work, the party will get dropped off at the top and folks will ride back to the cars. Bike is NOT required. My truck will bring work gear/volunteers back to the vehicles at the end of the day.

Some folks may be asked to drive up a gravel road to the work site if needed. The drive up does NOT require a high clearance vehicle,  a snorkel or a "wittle wadder". The road is in pretty good shape other than a couple potholes near the bottom.
