Paris Creek Trail Backcountry Maintenance
Fall is here, and its a great time to get out for some backcountry riding and trail work before the snow falls. This is your chance to get out and explore the mountains while also giving back to the community through trail work. We will spend the day riding out to the upper portion of the Paris Creek trail where we will focus on brushing, limbing and general trail cleanup before enjoying the decent back down trail. No trail work experience required.
DETAILS
We will meet at the Paris Creek Trailhead at 9am on Saturday October 26th. Bring a bike. A large portion of the day will be riding to and from the work site. Plan to spend most of the day on your bike and a few hours doing trail work at the remote work site. Plan for an all day outing.
Update: We will now be doing a partial shuttle. This will eliminate the first 1.5miles and 1,000ft of climbing. There are optional work sites close to the shuttle drop weather dependent.

A NW Forest day pass or America the Beautiful pass is required for the various nearby trail heads. (Discover pass is NOT valid)
Once past Roslyn there is little to no cell phone service. Plan accordingly and have you directions pre downloaded.
Directions
Paris Creek Trail shares the trailhead with Davis Peak Trail.
From I-90, take exit 80 to Bullfrog Rd. Follow Bullfrog Rd for 3 miles and continue straight onto WA-903 N at the traffic circle. Follow Highway 903 N (Salmon La Sac Rd) for 16.5 miles and veer right onto Cle Elum Valley Rd/NF-4330. Drive on Forest Road 4330 for about 1.6 miles to the trailhead parking lot on the left. There are about 10 spaces in the parking area.
Maintenance work
General trail clearing is on the agenda. Hand saws, loppers and debris rakes will be on hand and very useful. Before recent efforts Paris Creek had become overgrown and unridable. We will be focusing on clearing the trail and reestablishing a safe rideable trail cooridoor.
